Why Not Society is a student-led society that encourages creativity, diversity, and inclusivity through fun events, activities, and opportunities for students to connect, express themselves, and try something new.

Why Not Society is a fun, creative, and inclusive student society founded and led by Leila Almomani and Mufaro Mhaka . The society brings students together through a variety of social events and activities, creating a welcoming space to meet new people, have fun, and make memories.

Throughout the year, we organise events such as Movie Nights, Crêpe Day, Game Nights, Colours Day, and Pizza Day . Our events include Jenga, UNO, card games, bingo, guessing games, challenges, team activities, and competitions , with prizes and rewards to make things even more exciting.

Why Not Society is all about creativity, friendship, diversity, and making college life more enjoyable . Whether you come to compete, play games, meet new people, or simply have fun, there is always something for everyone.

History

Why Not Society began with Leila Almomani and Mufaro Mhaka wanting to bring a fresh idea to student life. We started small, but the response from students quickly showed us that there was a real interest in what we were creating.

During our first semester, we grew from a new society into an active part of campus life. The support, participation, and feedback from students encouraged us to keep improving and coming up with new ideas.

Our biggest milestone came when we were awarded Best New Society after just one semester. This achievement meant a lot to us because it recognised the effort that went into building the society from the ground up.

We are proud of where we started, excited about how far we have come, and looking forward to everything still to come.

Achievements

In just one semester , Why Not Society went from a simple idea to becoming an active and welcoming student community and we are incredibly proud to have been awarded Best New Society .
